With the success of DEADPOOL, Ryan Reynolds may very well be one of the hottest actors in the business right now. He’s at the point where he could pretty much do whatever he wants in front of camera (not that it’s stopped him before), and but that’s exactly what he does when he crashes a press junket for Hugh Jackman’s upcoming film, EDDIE THE EAGLE. Over the course of the interview, Reynolds manages to stick in some Deadpool-related references in regards to the travesty of X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE

The result is pretty hilarious. Check it out below, and watch two men with perfect bone structures laugh at how beautiful they both are.

I love how Ryan Reynolds even managed to get Hugh Jackman to deliver that classic Crocodile Dundee line.

While this was something of a fun promotional video for EDDIE THE EAGLE, this also works relatively well as a backdoor DEADPOOL promotion. If only Reynolds had donned the fancy red suit for this special occasion.

I don’t know about you, but this video kind of made me want Fox’s shared universe to go ULTIMATE X-MEN on us. And what I mean by that is Wolverine Cable.

As we know, a DEADPOOL sequel is already in the works, and if you’re to believe the post-credits scene from the film, that will include the character of Cable. The two have already worked together, and have great chemistry, so it’d just be a matter of putting in a good script and direction. The dichotomy would work very well between the two characters. Of course, there’s also the little problem regarding the retirement of Hugh Jackman. If he were to become this version of Cable, he’d still have to keep up with his mass genocide of chickens, and his working out four hours a day, which is what I assume is most exhausting for the actor. So, consider this something of a pipe dream, but we’ve seen crazier things happen!

What did you think of the video, and would you want to see Hugh Jackman turn into ULTIMATE X-MEN Cable? Let us know your thoughts below!

EDDIE THE EAGLE hits theaters on February 26, 2016.
