Watch The Final Pet Sematary Trailer

It’s been 30 years since fans of horror writer Stephen King got to witness the powers to revive domesticated pets in the 1989 Mary Lambert directed Pet Sematary. Well, today is the day fans can view the final trailer for Stephen King’s Pet Sematary adaptation by directors Kevin Kolsch, and Dennis Widmyer. It’s here and it’s no joke at all, despite being dropped on April 1st. In fact, the trailer packs a few surprise spoilers namely dealing with the setup of the film and how it contrasts with that of the original adaption released in 1989. Remember folks sometimes dead is better. Haven’t you learned anything yet? Oh, and stay the hell away from Indian Burial Grounds.

“Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home,” the official synopsis reads. “When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.

I have got to say it is a good time to be a movie fan in the month of April. Not only do we get DC’s Shazam which drops on April 5, but we also get Pet Sematary descending into theaters the same day. It’s time for a double whammy of goods at the theater. Man, I do wish those double features were still in vogue. Are you looking forward to checking out Pet Sematary this week?
