Well, Maybe The Simpsons Isn’t Ending Soon After All

Yesterday, word came down that it may be possible the long, long-running television series, The Simpsons would be coming to an end. The news came from what most would consider a reliable source, a longtime composer for the show, Danny Elfman.

To be clear Elfman said he wasn’t sure, but seemed to believe the show will soon come to an end, you can check out exactly what he said below.

“From what I’ve heard, it’s coming to an end. I don’t know for a fact, but I’ve heard that it will be in its last year.”

Today, comes a conflicting opinion from another source that would be considered reliable, executive producer Al Jean, who posted the following tweet, which you can check out below.

Many say The Simpsons lost its touch around Season 9, or that it was the last really good season. I will agree the show seemed to have a more consistent quality back then, but there have been some great episodes sprinkled in since then. The show may have overstayed its welcome by now, but part of me wants to see just how long it can go, 1000 episodes sound good? That would be quite a milestone to reach.
