We are exactly one month to the day away from Westworld returning to HBO. Game of Thrones has long since held the title as the poster child for premium storytelling on the network, but that’s a title that Westworld may very well pick up as the former series meets its end. Regardless, the two shows couldn’t be more different, as one takes place in a medieval fantasy world, and the other in a dystopian future.

From everything we’ve heard so far, this new season of Westworld will expand well beyond that of Westworld. Shogunworld is one such immersive experience that’s been teased in the past, with a photo of Japanese forest popping up on a viral site. But don’t think they’ll be abandoning the old west anytime soon. The new poster released by the network seems to imply as much. Check it out below:

The poster has some pretty cool imagery and seems to say a lot about the show. It’s set against the backdrop of what looks like the Salt Flats. A mechanical vulture stands next to a black hat — a hat that may very well belong to the Man in Black, a character from the first season (though it’s worth noting that anyone can come in as a black hat character, so who knows if it actually has anything to do with him). A trail of blood leads off-camera. What can all this mean? We’ll have to wait to find out.
