Part of what makes San Diego Comic-Con so special is that it gives networks and studios a chance to celebrate their achievements with creators and fans alike. FX took the time to celebrate the fourth season of their hit series, What We Do in the Shadows. They did this in style as they created Nadja’s nightclub for the FX family. This included the cast of the vampire series as well as Archer, Mayans M.C., Little Demon, and others.
As part of the celebration, they hosted a purple carpet where LRM Online could talk with some of the talent and creators of What We Do in the Shadows as well as a few of the voices of Archer. You can check out the brief interview down below!
First, there was a chat with series showrunner, executive producer, and writer Paul Simms.
Next up there is Stefani Robinson. She also serves on the series as an executive producer and writer. She shares with us some ideas that maybe haven’t been seen on screen yet. With the range of the series, anything seems possible.
We then chatted with Kyle Newacheck. He serves as co-executive producer and director of the series. He shares with us how fun it has been working on the series. Also an explanation of what is the deal with Baby Colin.
Speaking of Baby Colin, why not continue with the man behind the baby himself, Mark Proksch. Just to keep everyone at ease this is the actor, not the energy-sucking vampire. So you are safe to check out the interview below.
With Colin in the doldrums last season, the one person who attempted to help him was the vampire Laszlo Cravensworth. He is played by Matt Berry. Interestingly enough, he is not very much aware of the popularity of the show here in the States, he explains why!
Someone has got to try and keep the vampires of What We Do in the Shadows in order right? that is where “The Guide” comes in, played by the awesome Kristen Schaal. She serves as a messenger and summons accused vampires and witnesses to the council.
Then there is the one really keeping everything in order. Heck keeping all these darn vampires alive. The very lovable and stressed-out Guillermo de la Cruz. The descendant of vampire hunters. He is played by Harvey Guillen. He gave us an insight on playing this character now for four seasons.

Rounding up the interviews on the purple carpet for the What We Do In The Shadows FX event, were Amber Nash and Aisha Tyler. They are two of the voice actresses in the hit animated FX series, Archer. Both of them share with us some of the fun they have had in the many seasons and what their characters mean to them after all that time.
Here is the synopsis for FX’s What We Do in the Shadows
What We Do in the Shadows, based on the feature film by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, documents the nightly exploits of vampire roommates Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) as they navigate the modern world of Staten Island with the help of their human familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén).
In the shocking season three finale, Nandor, Guillermo, and Nadja left Staten Island to go their separate ways while Laszlo stayed home to care for the creature that clawed its way out of the chest cavity of the deceased Colin Robinson — aka Baby Colin. This season, the vampires return to Staten Island to find their mansion on the verge of total structural collapse — and with no money to repair it. While Nandor’s eternal search for love finally yields results, Nadja finally realizes her dream of opening the hottest vampire nightclub in the Tri-State Area. Laszlo struggles with the question of nature versus nurture as he tries raising Baby Colin to be anything other than an energy vampire. And even Guillermo finds himself on a powerful emotional track that touches on his love for his family, and for others.
With such terrifying locations as the secret supernatural Night Market, the Jersey Pine Barrens, and a wedding altar, and with more strange beasts, surprising guest stars, and tap dancing than ever, season four of What We Do in the Shadows continues to make the case for blood and comedy. And this time with just a touch of home renovation.
Check out the fourth season of FX’s What We Do in the Shadows on Tuesdays, at 10 pm ET/PT on FX, streaming the next day on Hulu.
