Joss Whedon breaks silence on Justice League allegations and accuser Ray Fisher responds. In a lengthy interview with NY Magazine Whedon talks for the first time after the mess that was Justice League and the accusations made against him by several stars, most prominently Ray Fisher. The full interview is behind a paywall. Though for those who wish to view the images of the article on Twitter there is a link Here to a kind soul who has done the work for you.
How to make friends and influence people
In the interview, Whedon discussed working with Fisher, and he claimed that test screenings deemed the Cyborg character “the worst of all the characters in the film.” Whedon then goes on to explain who he spent many hours trying to find ways around adapting the character, that he had no malice in his intentions to do so either. The director claimed that Cyborg’s story “logically made no sense”. However Whedon does call out Fisher’s craft big time in this quote below describing Fisher.
“We’re talking about a malevolent force. We’re talking about a bad actor in both sense.”
Ouch! As for Gal Gadot, don’t worry, Whedon had some words for her as well. Whedon claims Gadot stated that he “didn’t understand how superhero movies worked.” Whedon then denies the accusations by Gadot that he threatened her with the statement that: “English is not her first language, and I tend to be annoyingly flowery in my speech.” He proclaimed that the threat was a statement in regard to himself and not her.
Gadot already had responded in an e-mail to the NY Magazine that she “understood perfectly.” Whedon then went on to say of the whole cast of Justice League, that he had never worked with “a ruder group of people.”
Whilst never directly having a go at Zack Snyder, Whedon did say of the controversy, the bad reaction from fans etc, that “I just know in whose name it was done.”

Since this interview was published and shared everywhere online, Ray Fisher has responded on social media in his usual manner.
Looks like Joss Whedon got to direct an endgame after all…
Rather than address all of the lies and buffoonery today—I will be celebrating the legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Not much of a response so far, however I am guessing this has reignited the fire in Fisher and we will soon be back to daily A>E posts. More drama than the average Hollywood blockbuster. The only Justice League film I’m desperate to see is the docu-drama of this whole business. Which Z-list actors would play the roles of the A-list actors? Fisher would probably go for the part as Ray Fisher. Though, he may get rejected for being too old by then? But, hey ho.
