Fans of the books will instantly get the tease in this Wheel of Time promo. Wheel of Time is being made into a TV series from Amazon Prime, and with a 14 book series, it’s fair to say this will keep running for years.
The Wheel of Time promo below is from Season 1 of the show, duh! Equally, the moment in question is a moment from the first book of the series, The Eye of the World. We don’t know for certain, but it appears that Season 1 of Wheel of Time will feature content from the first two books of the series. Check it out below, before I clue those unaware into what is happening here.

Without getting into spoiler territory, what begins in this scene is a plot thread which carries on throughout the series. Matt Cauthon, one of the central characters in Wheel of Time is hiding in a very dark, and evil place. Warned not to touch anything by their guide, Matt ignores this advice and is tempted to take this dagger into his possession. Again, I won’t detail how this plays out completely. Part of the reason for this is the fact I am currently only on book 9 of 14. The Ruby Dagger of Shadar Logoth is still a thread in this tale I’ve yet to see to completion.
The entire episode that features Shadar Logoth will be cool to see on screen. This part of the story, whilst quite early on in proceedings, was one of my favorites in that first book. The Wheel of Time is a series where I had my doubts after reading book 1. However, by the time you get through book 2, things improve greatly. One also assumes the voice we hear in this clip, is that of Barney Harris, who plays Matt in the show.
What do you think of this latest Wheel of Time promo? I just can’t wait to start watching it when it finally airs. When that may be is currently unknown, though the guess is sometime later this year. Leave your thoughts below as always. I wonder if I can finish all 14 books before it starts?
