Today we share some Wheel of Time Season 2 confirmation that a fan favorite character will show up. Finally there is an Elyas actor confirmed. This means that we now know Elyas won’t be merged with another character or removed from the show. There was plenty of fan speculation that Elyas might not show up until Season 2. However the character did first appear in book 1, so fans also got a bit worried when there was no sign of Elyas thus far.

According to some detective work by WOT Series we now know that actor Gary Beadle is playing Elyas. It was known Beadle was cast and when he didn’t appear in Season 1, it was assumed he first appears in Season 2. Ergo, there was already some speculation among fans and insiders that Beadle could be playing Elyas. We now have confirmation via the actors own CV, where he is listed as Elyas for The Wheel of Time.

I won’t get into who or what the character of Elyas is here yet. Instead I’ll simply say that he is heavily connected to the story of Perrin. Its’ also not the kind of role that will necessarily stick around for the rest of the show. In the books Elyas disappears for several books worth of story before making a return. Given the challenges of an adaptation, it may be that the writers have beefed up Elyas role during that missing period in the books? However it is also possible they decided to squish all of Elyas story into Season 2 so the actor can go and get another role after? We shall have to wait and see?

Whilst we have no idea for certain when The Wheel of Time Season 2 will air, my guess is that we may see Season 2 around Winter time once more, or possible even into the early period of 2023? Season 2 has been filming for a while but as far as we know is still shooting. We also know there’s zero chance that Wheel of Time S2 will arrive whilst The Rings of Power S1 is on the go. It’s rumored that Rings of Power will have a 10 episode inaugural season. That would mean, if we begin on September 2nd (premiere date) the finale may be around November 4th. However that is a big if. It’s therefore absolutely possible that Wheel of Time Season 2 could make it’s premiere before the end of 2022. However again, we need to wait and see?
