Today we are sharing a Wheel of Time Season 3 casting update, though it’s only for some minor roles. The information comes from WOTSeries, however it’s based on actual journalism not leaks as such. There are definitely a few high profile pieces of casting still to happen for Season 3. For a start there is at least one Forsaken appearing in Season 3 and they must have been cast already. However, we don’t have an actor’s name. Plus, there are many named Aiel we’ve still to get confirmed and cast (officially).
In the meantime, whilst we wait and some more juicy news, here are the minor roles the outlet has learned of.
‘According to his agency profile, Portuguese actor Nuno Lopes will be appearing in season 3 of The Wheel of Time in an unknown role.’
‘Though his exact filming schedule is unknown, Lopes was filming in Prague in mid-May, approximately one month after filming began on April 17, 2023.’
So, we could theoretically have Lopes in a larger role but I don’t think so based on his experience so far. I could be wrong.

‘Tereza Dušková is a Czech film, television, and theater actress who has had previous roles in series like Das Boot and Charité. According to her CV, she has been cast in the role of Maigran under the direction of Thomas Napper, who is directing episodes 303 and 304.’
‘In the books, Maigran was a da’shain Aiel who appears during a pivotal scene in book 4, The Shadow Rising. Without going into possible spoilers, this casting is the first evidence that we might be seeing the history of the Aiel during season 3.’
Given recent comments from showrunner Rafe Judkins that he had been standing in the Rhuidean set that day, I think it’s safe to say we will be seeing this pivotal scene in Season 3. However, this is definitely a minor role for one or two episodes max.
Finally,
‘Another new cast member for season 3 is Raksha Hoost. Currently based out of London, Hoost is an international actor who was born in Suriname and raised in The Netherlands. According to her CV, she will be playing the role of Shiaine.’
Now, unless Shiaine is a code-name it seems unlikely this is more than a minor role. Perhaps even a show invention as I don’t recall the name from the books? Then again, this is a long series and has a lot of names, I may be forgetting? Certainly not an important character though from the books.
What do you think of this Wheel of Time Season 3 casting update for some minor roles? Thoughts below as always.
