When Did Pedro Pascal Know Baby Yoda’s Name?

It's official, a new Mando S3 trailer hits this Monday evening on ESPN. A brand-new trailer for The Mandalorian season 3.

Those of us who watched The Mandalorian as it aired, had to wait quite a while to learn the real name of the one we called Baby Yoda. Star Pedro Pascal confirmed that he knew the name before the filming of Season 2 began. Pascal recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight while promoting Wonder Woman 1984 and was asked about when he knew Baby Yoda’s true name. You can check out what he had to say below.

“I did know. At the start of season 2. When I got the scripts for season 2. For it to be as good as it is, they are well-prepared to start shooting. My favorite thing about it is how part of the creative process [I am],” Pascal said. “I’m invited to at least observe the experience and contribute whatever will occur to me. So [creator and showrunner] Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, they get me the scripts before we get into shooting, so I know it all.”

The show’s second season finale was something truly special. It brought a tear to many a fan’s eyes and gave us all a healthy dose of nostalgia. One that we’ve waited for since Disney bought Star Wars back in 2012. Now while not every fan loved it, the response seen across the internet should be enough to show Disney what a good deal of fans wanted, was very simple.
