Check Out The International Trailer For Morbius

While news surrounding the casting of Alfred Molina in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 (with other rumors about the film becoming stronger). The part of the Spidey family that Marvel doesn’t is also mapping out a shared cinematic universe of their own. Jared Leto will be playing Morbius the Living Vampire in an upcoming solo film featuring the character simply titled Morbius.

A new international trailer for the film was recently released that included a special message from Leto says he has an “exciting role in an expanding universe.” You can check out the trailer below.

Leto’s Redemption

I’m not familiar with the character but i do hope it brings Leto redemption. While I don’t care much at all for his version of the Joker, I don’t think it was his fault, though he takes the brunt of the criticism for it. Leto explained to IGN why the character was interesting nearly a year ago. Check out what he had to say below.

“Morbius, the man, is a pretty complex character. That’s what I was really attracted to. This is somebody who has a lot of conflict in his life.”

As I said I don’t know much about the character, but as with any superhero film, I will make my rounds and do some research closer to the film’s release date. From what I do know, Morbius seems to be unusual, at least compared to most Marvel characters. Sony has big plans for the Marvel properties they hold the rights to. Their success lies in the execution, which, for the most part, has left something to be desired.

Morbius also stars Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, and Tyrese Gibson. The film currently has a release date of March 19, 2021.
