Check out the latest Marvel Barside Buzz, why Captain America: Brave New World was delayed plus Fantastic Four to film this January. Let’s start with Brave New World which was recently delayed till February 14, 2025. Well now regular insider Daniel RPK says on his Patreon that he knows why it was delayed.
“Captain America: Brave New World was reportedly delayed because Marvel felt that the action sequences in the film were not big or satisfying enough when compared to the previous Captain America films.”
To be fair, for me this is always the right call. If Marvel are looking at the movie and it’s not quite hitting the mark, then delay it. I’ll always take any delay on a movie to have it released eventually as a superior film. Reshoots are already planned to get Brave New World into shape in time for the new release date.

In the meantime Marvel looks set to begin production on Fantastic Four this January. The cast are now mostly in place (unofficially). Therefore, RPK also reports he had heard January was the date for production to begin. This was supported by Production List who have the movie scheduled for January 15, 24′.
In case you hadn’t yet seen the rumors it seems pretty certain that our first family are cast. Vanessa Kirby will play Sue Storm, Pedro Pascal is Reed Richards, Joseph Quinn is Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach is Ben Grimm. There are rumors Marvel is looking at Mads Mikkelsen to play Doctor Doom. However, that certainly does not appear to be a done deal, yet. At least no one is yet claiming it’s definitely going to be Mads. Equally we’ve rumors that Javier Bardem is favorite to play Galactus and maybe a gender swapped version of Silver Surfer. However, that’s where the Barside Buzz gets a little fuzzy.
