Directors usually have a set of actors that they love to work with. One of the best known duos in Hollywood without a doubt are Quentin Tarantino and Samuel L. Jackson. Out of the films that Tarantino has released, Jackson has been in six of them. So any time he Tarantino has a new film around the corner, chances are Jackson is involved. Would that be the case for his upcoming Once Upon A Time in Hollywood?
Cinemablend had the opportunity to talk with Jackson during the press day for Incredibles 2, in which Jackson voices the hero Frozone. During the interview he was asked about Tarantino’s film, but it sounds like he will be too busy as Nick Fury in Captain Marvel to join that film. Saying in his own words that, “No, I’ve been doing Captain Marvel. I’m insulated. I have no idea – I just haven’t heard from him.”
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood will be written and directed by Tarantino and it will star Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Burt Reynolds, Tim Roth, Kurt Russell, Michael Madsen, Damian Lewis, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Nicholas, Hammond, Luke Perry, Keith Jefferson, Clifton Collins Jr., Timothy Olyphant and Al Pacino. I think it is safe to say that this film will be alright without Jackson’s involvement.

The film will take audiences to the year 1969 where a washed up TV actor and a professional stunt man look to revive their careers, in a movie industry that seems to be passing them by. But they see an opportunity thanks to the fact that they live next to an actress/model.
Both films are scheduled for 2019. Marvel Studio’s Captain Marvel will hit theaters March 8th, 2019. While Sony’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is scheduled for August 9th, 2019. Are you looking forward to another Tarantino film? Let us know in the comment section below!
Samuel L. Jackson’s next appearance at the movies will be on June 15th, 2018 in Pixar’s Incredible’s 2.
