Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan star in Wild Mountain Thyme which is a new romantic comedy heading to Theaters and On-Demand this December 11th. For those of you who are knowledgable in old Irish/Scottish folklore songs then you will notice this movie shares the same name. The Ireland-set romantic drama from John Patrick Shanley, the Oscar-winning writer of Moonstruck, showcases the chemistry between Blunt and Dornan. The film is based on Shanley’s own hit Broadway play Outside Mullingar, which received a 2014 Tony Award nomination for best play and starred Debra Messing in her Broadway debut as Rosemary.

John Patrick Shanley, who created the classic Moonstruck, brings his sweeping romantic vision to Ireland with Wild Mountain Thyme. The headstrong farmer Rosemary Muldoon (Emily Blunt) has her heart set on winning her neighbor Anthony Reilly’s love. The problem is Anthony (Jamie Dornan) seems to have inherited a family curse, and remains oblivious to his beautiful admirer. Stung by his father Tony’s (Christopher Walken) plans to sell the family farm to his American nephew (Jon Hamm), Anthony is jolted into pursuing his dreams in this comedic, moving and wildly romantic tale.
