Could we get Winter Guard in the MCU? The Soviet version of the Avengers were certainly explored in the comic book format. However, now that Red Guardian has been introduced in Black Widow, could the rest follow suit?
David Harbour who plays Red Guardian recently chatted with ComicBook.com. You can catch the full interview in the link. However when asked what he thought of Winter Guard being explored, Harbour showed he knows the team well.
“Yeah, yeah I know a lot about those guys. The Sputnik, Crimson Dynamo, Ursa. I think if you watch the movie closely, I think you can, eh, you know, you can find some stuff in there.”

Sounds like there could be some Easter eggs about Winter Guard members in Black Widow to watch out for. But could we see the team actually get a movie or show within the MCU? Harbour would like to see it.
“I like this mirror Universe these guys set up, because we’ve seen the Avengers and what they can do. And there is almost direct parallels in this Winter Guard to each of those characters. You know Ironman, Captain America, Hulk. I would like to see what the mirror Universe in that way would look like and what, how that would function in the larger phase.”
Would you like to see Winter Guard in the MCU? I’d be keen, but not a story set in the past. I’d much prefer to see these characters old and retired and somehow thrust back together once again to save Russia from some catastrophe the Avengers cannot stop. That just sounds like a great idea for a Disney+ show to me.
