The Barside Buzz says a Wolverine variant called Patch was shown in the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer and will be played by a different actor. The information comes from regular Marvel leaker MTTSH who has a pretty decent hit rate with the superhero franchise. Here is what she posted on social media recently.

Now I think she’s right that this is supposed to be Wolverine. I mean who else has hair like that. However as to the rest of it, I’m just going by what MTTSH says. Some fans have wondered whether this could be the Earth-616 (MCU) version of Logan played by the actor who will end up taking over the role permanently. However I cant see them introducing someone like that in a movie starring High Jackman’s version.

Rumors on the movie say we will see multiple Wade and Logan variants in the movie. I think in the absence of any other details we just have to wait and see.

The hype for Deadpool & Wolverine as Disney had hoped is through the roof. Bringing in Jackman was a bit of a masterstroke in terms of marketing and I hope Reynolds and Jackman are being paid well for this film. They both hyped this to the masses, not Disney.

I’m not that into Deadpool as a character or a concept, I’ve always been honest about that. Just not that into full on humor or fourth wall breaking. I feel the same about She-Hulk as I’ve said many times on this website in the past also. Therefore, I think it’s Wolverine, (who is one of my favorite characters) being in this movie that makes me want to go see it opening weekend. If it was just Deadpool 3, I’d wait for streaming.

I guess when it comes to Wade, perhaps all the variants are Reynolds, perhaps not? Perhaps there are also non-Reynolds Wade’s in the Multiverse, we just haven’t glimpsed those yet?
