If the past several years has proven anything, is that there is no allegiance to one particular studio and no allegiance to Marvel or DC once your contract is up. The likes of Laurence Fishburne have hopped from DC to Marvel Studios, and filmmakers like Joss Whedon and, most recently, James Gunn, have hopped from Marvel Studios to DC. At the end of the day, they both have great characters and different opportunities to offer.

Now, it sounds like one DC writer is heading over to the world of Marvel Studios. According to a new report from That Hashtag Show, Wonder Woman 1984 screenwriter David Callaham has been commissioned to write an untitled Marvel movie. The scribe has already written for such films as Godzilla and has even contributed to the upcoming Zombieland 2.

So what can the film be? Black Widow, The Eternals, and Black Panther 2 already have writers, so the options are limited. The outlet speculates Dark Avengers, Young Avengers, and maybe even Doctor Strange 2, but given how little we know right now, speculation would be pretty difficult. Perhaps when Marvel Studios lays some more of the cards on the table for the game plan to come in Phase 4, we’ll have a better idea.
