According to the trades, Wonder Woman 3 is NOT in development at DC Studios. Earlier this week, Wonder Woman and WW84 actress Gal Gadot doubled down on claims she made previously. Namely that current DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran had promised her they would develop WW3 together.

Now two trades have come out against this story to say a Wonder Woman 3, starring Gadot is not in development for the DCU.

Let’s start with Variety.

‘Despite recent comments from Gal Gadot claiming DC heads James Gunn and Peter Safran told her they would develop “Wonder Woman 3” together, sources with knowledge of the situation tell Variety that is not the case. According to the sources, a third “Wonder Woman” film is not in development at DC Studios nor do Gunn and Safran have plans at this time for any “Wonder Woman” project in the new DC Universe other than their previously announced “Paradise Lost” prequel series for Max.’

Around the same time, both claiming exclusives, Collider ran with the same story.

‘Multiple sources with knowledge close to the situation have told Collider that Wonder Woman 3 is not in development at DC Studios. This contradicts Gal Gadot’s recent interviews where she said she was working on the project in partnership with DC Studio Heads James Gunn and Peter Safran. In addition, Gunn and Safran do not have plans for a Wonder Woman project aside from Paradise Lost, which is a prequel series at Max.’

Did Gadot just get ‘Yeah, Yeah’d’ by Hollywood for the first time? ‘Sure Gal, yeah, yeah, we’re gonna get to that’? Perhaps instead, the conversation was more broad. Something like they’d like Gadot to be involved in developing (not starring in) a new Wonder Woman farther down the line just to appease her?

I’ve no idea where Gadot was coming from? However, unless we hear otherwise, I’m more inclined to believe the reports above than what Gadot says she was told. Additionally, I can’t see Gunn commenting on this one online, can you?
