According to Murphy’s Multiverse World War Hulk is likely to be released in 2024. We heard the first rumors of this project earlier this week from The GWW. Murphy, who has imo the best reputation of Marvel insiders has now added a few details. For a start Murphy seems to think WWH is definitely happening. However Murphy believe that both Blade, and Captain America 4 are still ahead of WWH in the schedule. Check out these social media posts below.

So I definitely expect WWH to be a 2024 film. This isn't a brand new thing. AMW:Q is filming now and was slated for Feb 2023. Marvel is apparently comfortable with having projects sitting in the can for a while. Maybe the pandemic helped that. Maybe not.

Either way, we can't really go off the old model anymore as we try to predict release dates.

However Murphy is right that the guessing game is far harder now since the pandemic. It used to be you could work out a release date by when a Marvel movie shot. Not quite so easy now. However, I also think Murphy’s logic here is sound. I’d also guess that both Blade and Cap 4 were ahead of WWH, given both have been announced officially.

Though, I do have to say, of those three movies, the one that has me most excited is World War Hulk, even if it ends up not being called that. I have wanted another solo Hulk movie for years. In my all-time comic book characters list Hulk sits in third. That’s behind Spider-Man and Batman on top. As a major Hulk fan I have only ever been satisfied twice on film. First in Avengers, where he was the secret sauce, then again in Ragnarok. I don’t love Professor Hulk, though, I admit he was the right call for Endgame. However I’m not keen on Prof Hulk being the standard going forward.

If anything I want to see Hulk’s power grow, not wane. I get that Thanos kicked his butt because, well Thanos is pretty tough in the MCU, However I still think there’s more to come from my man Hulk.
