Wrath of Man Trailer Has Jason Statham Searching for His Son’s Murderer

Being an armored truck security guard is probably one of the most dangerous jobs. At any moment, a violent robbery can occur while providing security to tons of cash in a truck. Basically, it is a moving banking facility on wheels targeted at would-be thieves.

Jason Statham stars in Wrath of Man as the new highly skilled security guard with a purpose. Unbeknownst to his other security coworkers, he purposely pushes the armored trucks into dangerous robberies in seeking the murderer of his son.

Here’s the official synopsis:

A mysterious and wild-eyed new cash truck security guard (Jason Statham) surprises his coworkers during a heist in which he unexpectedly unleashes precision skills. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman’s ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.

Wrath of Man is based on the French film Le Convoyeur written by Nicolas Boukhrief and Eric Besnard.

The rest of the cast includes Holt McCallany (The Losers), Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice), Josh Hartnett (Lucky Number Slevin), Laz Alonzo (The Boys), Raul Castillo (We Are Animals), Deobia Oparei (Games of Thrones) with Eddie Marsan (Happy-Go-Lucky) and Scott Eastwood (Suicide Squad). Guy Ritchie directed the movie from the screenplay written by Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson, and Marn Davies.

The Guy Ritchie was formerly titled Cash Truck. From the trailer alone, it looks like an exciting gritty action revenge movie. With action star Jason Statham and action director Guy Ritchie, Wrath of Man is definitely one film to look forward to this summer–in theaters nonetheless.

Wrath of Man is in theaters on May 7.
