Today you’re going to see this headline elsewhere. ‘Is Wyatt Russell teasing Chris Evans cameo’ though likely without the ‘not so fast’ at the end. Where is this coming from you ask? Let me fill you in.
Wyatt Russell and Erin Kellyman recently did an interview with BBC Radio in the U.K. In this interview Russell was asked if he had ever met Chris Evans. This was Russell’s response.
“Have I ever met Chris Evans? I think I have. I don’t think I’ve ‘shook his hand’ met him, but I think I’ve walked by him somewhere and made eye contact,” he started. “That counts as being a stalker, that doesn’t count as meeting anybody. But, I guess it would. You just gotta wait until the end of the series and then everybody will be like, ‘Oh, wow.'”
Now, I get how this could be taken. However when you watch the video below, you will see I think Russell is merely playing coy here.
This is just my opinion, but I don’t think we see a Chris Evans cameo in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. In fact, back to begin with, I always reckoned we might close this show with a funeral scene as Steve has died. I’m not saying that’s what Russell is referring to here. I’m just saying that if Steve does turn up, I think it would be in memorial form only.

For me having old man Steve turn up again, would lessen the impact of his appearance in Endgame. I’ve said many times, in ten years or so I’d love Marvel to do an Old Man Cap story, set in his alternate timeline with him a much older version, maybe in the 60’s or something. However, we are a long way off that for me yet.
Truthfully though, I just think Russell is saying ‘I can’t talk about this stuff, so please just watch the show’. I guess we will find out if I’m a realist or a pessimist within the next fortnight? Is Wyatt Russell teasing Chris Evans cameo in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? Not for me, no. But let us know what you think below.
