X-Force Film Hasn’t Settled On Its Members Yet

Do you smell that? That’s the smell of change in the air.

Deadpool 2 may not have come out yet, but based on the trailers, it looks like Deadpool will be assembling X-Force in order to take on the force that is Cable. Members we have seen so far include Deadpool, Domino, Bedlam, Shatterstar, Zeitgeist, and…Peter. They may also end up including the likes of Cable, Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and a purple-haired girl.

However, despite that long list of supers gracing this film, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be on the team when the actual X-Force film comes out. Speaking with EW, producer Simon Kinberg stated as such, saying:

“Drew, Ryan, and I sat down and talked quite a bit about what X-Force would be, but we haven’t on settled who those characters are yet. But certainly we’d want Cable and Domino to be part of it.”

Uh-oh. So what does that mean for this first iteration of the X-Force? Will these guys all pretty much be relegated to cameo status where they’re all quickly killed off in an anti-climactic way? I hate to say it, but I wouldn’t put it past Deadpool, as it’s a franchise that isn’t necessarily afraid to go dark for the sake of a joke.

More importantly…does that mean Peter will also go the way of the dodo? Oh no!
