The Xbox Series X has been public knowledge for a while now. However, there have also been rumors of an Xbox Series S. The Xbox SeS is rumored less powerful version of the SeX, presumably at a lower price. Since the Series S isn’t official, we have no details about just how powerful the SeX is to the SeS, or even if it’s real? However rumors have at least marked it as a diskless drive, similar to versions of the consoles out there now.
This latest leak though, seems to pretty much confirm the Series S is real. Whilst this could be faked, as it’s from a source with no leak history, I don’t think so. The Xbox Series S seemed a certainty to be real. Not only that, but The Venture reported Jeff Grubb replied to say details would be out for Series S within three weeks. It certainly looks like Xbox are moving into the new generation with two alternate spec models. It has also been rumored around this weekend that whatever price Sony sets for PS5, Microsoft will undercut them for the Series X. There is no solid information here, but the general thought seems to be that Microsoft will take more of a hit than Sony on consoles in order to make money from Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
The Xbox Series S could then be an even cheaper model which will allow access to next gen. The truth is, not every console gamer out there has upgraded to 4K. The Series S, if it can do what the Series X does but without 4K might be an attractive cheaper option for some? That’s pure speculation on my part, I’m not saying the SeS will not have 4K, because no one knows yet?
