Zachary Levi Headed To Toronto To Work On Shazam!

Okay, so at this point, we think it’s abundantly clear that Warner Bros. has absolutely no intention of stalling work on the DC Extended Universe going forward. Sure, they’ll be shifting things, but they won’t be giving projects the ax left and right, namely that of Shazam!, which looks to potentially be their biggest gamble to date, as it introduces lesser-known DC character.

Not too long ago, actor Zachary Levi was confirmed to be on board to star in the title role, and now, in a recent post on his Instagram, he confirmed that he’s on the way to Toronto to begin actual work on the film.

Last we heard, the flick was set to begin production on February 5, 2018. Since we’re still a couple months out, he’s likely headed there to do a lot of prep work. This could include whatever physical training, costume fitting, etc. that they’ll need to finalize before final production.

Needless to say, despite the lukewarm reaction to Justice League, Shazam! is looking to be something new and fun that we can only hope helps to turn things around for the struggling shared universe.
