Wonder Woman is a bonafide hit, achieving the highest domestic opening weekend for a female directed film. Directed by Patty Jenkins, and starring Gal Gadot as the title character, Wonder Woman sports the highest Rotten Tomatoes score of any DC Extended Universe film with a very impressive 94%, matching that of the first Iron Man film. Though Jenkins is deserving off all the praise she is receiving for the killer superhero flick, let’s not forget that Zack Snyder first introduced audiences to this version of Wonder Woman in last year’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Though critics destroyed that film, and fans are still split, most would agree that Gal Gadot’s portrayal of the superheroine was one of the highlights of the movie. Though he won’t be completing the film himself due to a family tragedy, Snyder is also behind Wonder Woman’s next appearance in Justice League, out this November.

So, what does the man behind Wonder Woman’s initial introduction and development have to say about the new film’s success? Well, all it takes is one word and an image. CBR.com has shared the following response from Snyder’s Vero account:

Snyder has been a major player in the DCEU, serving a similar role to that of Kevin Feige over at Marvel (without a similar title); producing projects such as Wonder Woman in addition to directing three of the first five films in the universe. He may have pitched the Wonder Woman ball, but Patty Jenkins knocked it completely out of the park. His response is perfect. ‘Nuff said.
