After hearing almost nothing about Eternals for some time, this weekend saw a leaked Eternals Ajak figure appear online. Ajak is the character played by Salma Hayek in the upcoming Marvel movie. To begin with, there was some doubt about whether this was an official figure or a custom made figure by a fan. However, that was mostly down to language issues. Since then, it has been confirmed this is an official figure. Check out this post from BR Marvel News below.

The spiritual leader of the Eternals. Ajak can heal others and is able to communicate with the Celestials.

Ajak’s powers were known to be healing, but I think this is the first time we have heard she can talk to the Celestials? I was under the impression that other than Ego, all the other Celestials had died out? Perhaps not? Though since Eternals is supposed to take place across thousands of years, maybe this was something Ajak used to do? I guess we will find out next year?
We could start to see a lot more promotional material show up for Eternals now. Remember the release date for Eternals was originally November. Most of the Eternals promotional merchandise will have been scheduled to be ready by October at the latest. We started to see some Black Widow merchandise appear around March/April as that movie was supposed to release in May. That was all before 2020 turned into the year where everything just stopped. It’s unlikely we will see much Eternals merchandise for sale until closer to the movie. However, we may start to see more leaks like this. If there is an Ajak figure out there, there’s a good chance some of the others have been sneaked out as well.
