Warning: Spoilers Ahead.
We all remember that fateful day. It was November 29th, 2017. Marvel Entertainment released the first official trailer for Avengers: Infinity War and the every Marvel-loving girl and boy let out a collective “HOLY SH–“. Thanos punching Iron Man. Cap stepping out of the shadows. The Hulkbuster. And of course, that memorable slow-motion shot of Cap, T’Challa, Okoye, Romanov, Bucky, Rhodey, Hulk and all of Wakanda charging into battle. The clip being referred to as the Braveheart shot.
Only one thing: that shot is nowhere in the final cut.
Yahoo sat down with Infinity War screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and discussed the memorable trailer scene. Markus explained:
“We filmed a lot of things. It’s an awesome moment, you can’t not do it. But then you look at your movie and go, ‘Is it working in the context of the film?’ And sometimes, sad as you are, the best place for it is the trailer and not the movie because it screws up [the] story.”

Those who have seen the film are fully aware that due to an early beating Hulk took at the hands of Thanos, Bruce Banner is unable to summon his angry, green alter ego. In the Battle at Wakanda, Bruce don’s Tony’s Hulkbuster suit and uses it for the entirety of the finale. One could also take into consideration that with all the talk and speculation that Avengers 4 may feature time travel, it could be possible that we may see this scene in the actual story… right?
Is it May 3rd, 2019 yet?
