It’s been a weird ride for Castlevania Season 3. Fans have been on a bit of a roller coaster trying to figure out when the next installment would be released. At one point it was reported that Season 3 was set to hit Netflix last November/December. That was then debunked and it was said that it would hit early in January. That was then discredited leaving many of us wondering if a Season 3 was ever going to come to fruition. A couple of weeks back, Castlevania showrunners released a new image from the upcoming season to give fans some comfort in knowing that an announcement would be made sooner rather than later.
We finally have that confirmation! If you are a fan of the series then set yourself a binge-watching date of Thursday, March 5. Netflix took to Twitter to make their announcement which was accompanied with a new poster which can be found below:
For some, this may not seem like a big deal, but Netflix confirmed a Season 3 back in 2018 days after the initial release of Season 2. Fans have been waiting for quite some time trying to navigate the false information that has been throw our way.
We still do not have any plot details but the poster does showcase returning characters such as Alucard, Trevor Belmont, and Sypha Belnades and Carmilla. There is a new character presented on the poster and while we do not have any confirmation on the individual, many think it could be an alchemist from the game Castlevania: Lament of Innocence named Rinaldo Gandolfi.
