So You’re Saying There’s A Chance? Zack Snyder’s Justice League May See The Light Of Day

Tired of talking about the famous Synder Cut of Warner Bros.’ Justice League yet? For years now we have seen all kinds of behind the scenes reveals from the original director of Justice Leauge Zack Snyder. When a family tragedy forced him to leave the project, Joss Whedon was brought in to finish the film. Unfortunately the finished product ended up being a lot different than what Snyder had envisioned for the film. By his timely releases we can tell that he wanted to make it clear that what Warner Bros. released was not what he wanted. Recently during a Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice screening, he even said, “you know they should make a sequel to this movie someday, that would be amazing.

He is not the only one that feels that way. A growing number of fans created a “Release the Snyder Cut”, campaign. For years they have urged the studio to release Snyder’s version of the film. Rumors are that several DC executives have wanted to see the current state of Snyder’s Justice League. Now there are reports from Cinemablend that state that in February, a screening took place of the film.

Here are the details about the screening according to Heroic Hollywood:
It seems like a recent screening of the film could lead to a wider release. Heroic Hollywood has exclusively learned and confirmed that Zack Snyder held a private screening of his cut of Justice League in the first quarter of 2020, with executives from DC in attendance. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, something is happening with Snyder’s cut of the film, and discussions are currently underway.

What exactly is happening with the Snyder Cut no one knows. A theatrical release is highly unlikely. But a possible showing on WarnerMedia’s HBO Max or the struggling DC Universe could be a possibility. Also no one knows what it would show if released. But we can speculate on what we could see in this version of Justice League.

Probably the most notable change would be that Darkseid would have a presence in the film. Snyder had even released an image of what the younger Darkseid would have looked like in the original flashback scene where Earth’s mightiest armies fought off the forces of Apokolips. Also Steppenwolf could be seeing a darker ending as Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman would have cut off his head at the end. That was then meant to roll into a Boom Tube and land under the foot of Darkseid on the other side. We could also possibly get a Desaad appearance as Steppenwolf was supposed to report to him. The line, “No protectors here, no Lanterns, no Kryptonian”, was meant to be a discussion between the two servants of Darkseid. As for heroes we would have gotten a Green Lantern appearance and a Martian Manhunter reveal.

It had been said by filmmaker Kevin Smith that to his understanding, the Snyder Cut was currently watchable from a production perspective and that it most likely didn’t feature any VFX. I could see Warner Bros. trying to invest a little bit into trying to get something out of it. Especially if it would mean boosting up their numbers on their new streaming service. I know I would definitely watch it. A new Batman a few years away and only a Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad film close to being released. So they don’t have much else to offer fans for now.

Do you think Warner Bros. and DC will pull the trigger on the Snyder Cut? Would you like to watch it? Let us know in the comment section below!
