As a fan of DC characters, I have been very grateful to The CW’s Arrowverse. True they are missing some of the heavy hitters like Batman and Wonder Woman. But unlike their films, they have been able to showcase so many characters and places in the DC Universe. They started with Arrow then expanded to The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and now Batwoman and Stargirl. Through many seasons of their series that included crossover episodes they have been able to take DC fans into the DC Universe. Could it be that they are getting ready to expand their universe even further?

In the latest episode of The CW’s The Flash, Cisco Ramon, played by Carlos Valdes, needs to travel to the kingdom of Atlantis. This is the first time that the existence of the home of characters like Aquaman, Mera, and Ocean Master has been revealed existing in the Arrowverse’s Earth-Prime. Sadly, due to the current restrictions they had to cut the 6th season short and we won’t see it resolved until next year. But it does raise the question, are we going to get to see at least an Aquaman reference during the conclusion of the 6th season?

TVLine recently had an interview with The Flash showrunner, Eric Wallace to talk about all things Flash. One of those things being a possible Aquaman reference upon Cisco’s return. To this Wallace answered, “I don’t know if I can get it in. I don’t think it made the cut. So I’m going to say no.”

I find it interesting the way Wallace answered the question. It would seem that they had filmed a reference but decided to cut it out. By adding that statement in the episode they must have wanted to plant the seed in fan’s heads about the idea of Earth-Prime’s world being that much bigger. They could maybe test the waters in a future crossover event. One that could take place no earlier than late 2021 because of the current situation.

The Arrowverse has allowed us to travel to so many places in the DC Universe, it seems fit that Atlantis would be the next step. True they would have to figure out how to handle the underwater world with a television series budget, but with all they have accomplished so far I think they can figure it out. We have a small screen Flash, Superman, Cyborg, and teased Green Lantern, so why not Aquaman? Would you like to see the King of the Seas in the Arrowverse? Let us know in the comment section below!
