Check out this The Bad Batch official trailer which just dropped today. Clone Force 99 are on the bad side of the Empire, and Moff Tarkin. It looks like they are going to have to escape into the underground to survive. We also meet at least one surprisingly familiar face from Rebels, I think. Check it out.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch will debut on Disney+ on Star Wars day, May 4th. Not long to wait now for fans of Star Wars animated shows.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch is executive produced by Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Athena Portillo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Brad Rau (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance) and Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars Resistance, NCIS) with Carrie Beck (The Mandalorian, Star Wars Rebels) as co-executive producer and Josh Rimes as producer (Star Wars Resistance). Rau is also serving as supervising director with Corbett as head writer.

The Bad Batch should offer audiences a glimpse into how the Republic transitioned into the Empire post-Clone Wars. What happened to Clone Army as they were replaced by Stormtroopers? Clone Force 99 are a defective batch of Clones first introduced during Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However as we found out already, gifted might be a better description than defective. Individually they all have some issues, but working together using their unique abilities makes them a formidable match for most opponents.
I might not have been the biggest fan of Clone Force 99, but I will be watching The Bad Batch. I definitely think there is room to explore this period of change in the Galaxy. The animation style though, never been a fan. The little boy, (or girl, I’m not totally sure) looks totally weird to me and I think outs some serious Star Wars fans off. However, I learned to get past that on both The Clone Wars and Rebels which was even worse.
