Gia Skova on the Lure of Espionage Movies with The Serpent [Exclusive Interview]

Russian model-turned actress Gia Skova has this affinity towards espionage spy-versus-spy films. With The Serpent that she wrote, starred and directed, she made a movie that fits perfectly to something she wanted to be in.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Serpent:

Agent Lucinda Kavsky is highly trained and one of the CIA’s most lethal weapons. When she’s given a special assignment that takes a disastrous turn, she comes to find out she is being set up by her own agency. As she unravels their horrendous plot, she uncovers a web of lies and secrecy that expose a massive conspiracy.

The movie also stars Travis Aaron Wade, Craig Conway, Alexandra Tebano, and Nigel Vonas.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with director, writer, and actress Gia Skova on her latest film. We talked about the stunts, car chase scenes, fight choreography, and CGI effects. Also, we talked about her career transition from a successful model into an actress today.

Gia Skova is a Russian actress and model, who is now living in the United States. She was a cover girl for fashion magazines Vogue and InStyle, and graced the runway for designers such as Stella McCartney and Marc Jacobs. On the advertising front, she was part of recognizable campaigns with L’Oréal and Red Bull. Discovered at the age of twelve, she starred in a Russian television series. She went into modeling at 15 after winning the modeling contest “The Beauty of the Volga,” that propelled her into a professional modelling career. In 2012, she moved to the United States to pursue both acting and modeling. She landed in several films, including Assault on Wall Street, Breakout, Bad Company, and Bleed For This.
