Even though Halloween just ended, we’re still enjoying spooktacular news. The sequel to Hocus Pocus was announced in 2019. The return of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy was announced earlier this year. And now, Disney+ has announced new cast members for Hocus Pocus 2 in a tweet for Halloween.
“The Black Flame Candle Is Alight To The Sanderson Sisters’ Delight”
Joining the cast are Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson, and Nina Kitchen.
Fall 2022 on #DisneyPlus, #HocusPocus2 cometh to us!#Hallowstream— Disney+ (@disneyplus) October 31, 2021
I didn’t get to see Hocus Pocus until I was an adult since my parents didn’t celebrate Halloween. Even though I’ve never enjoyed this holiday as a kid, I can still enjoy the fun parts of Halloween with my family. We watch this movie every year. It wouldn’t be Hocus Pocus without Midler, Parker, and Namijay, but it’s exciting to see the return of Billy, Doug Jones. The movie came out in 1993 and at first, I wasn’t sure it should get a sequel. There’s a lot of sequels that miss the mark and I was a little worried. But the more time goes on, the more interested I get for Hocus Pocus 2.
The Hocus Pocus 2 Synopsis
