Things are very different since we were last gearing up for an in-person San Diego Comic-Con back in 2019. One notable change is the ownership of WarnerMedia which is now known as Warner Bros. Discovery. With a notable absence from WonderCon this year, we began to question if they would also be a no-show at San Diego.
Yesterday Warner Bros. Discovery released their plans for San Diego Comic-Con. We have summarized the many panels that were in the press release down below! As well as the cool Comic-Con tote with classic Jim Lee art.
HALL H
For the highly coveted Hall H panels that have been announced, we have a presentation from HBO featuring, House of the Dragon. Which debuts on their streaming platform on August 21. From Warner Bros. Television, there will be a special video presentation and Q & A of The Sandman and their popular The CW series, Riverdale.
COMIC OFFERINGS
As far as DC labeled content on the list we have a Jim Lee and Friends panel where they will reveal some of their top-secret projects that will be out soon. Also a spotlight on Gotham panel with some of Batman’s current comic book creators. For fans of the current Dark Crisis event, the creators of this mega event will also share more insight on what’s to come. Another fun panel will feature the two top DC Toms. Tom Taylor and Tom King with some surprise guests.
VIDEO GAMES
For video game fans, Warner Bros. Games are going to be showcasing a look inside the making of the Gotham Knights videogame with the creative team. As well as their new mash-up video game, Multiversus.
CARTOON CONTENT
We cannot forget classic cartoons with a special Looney Tunes presentation. We’ll see what the WB has lined up for these classic characters that are close to our hearts. For those a little younger, we have the Cartoon Network panel that will feature Craig of the Creek, Teen Titans Go!, and We Baby Bears. Fans of the Gremlins films will be excited to check out the Gremlins: Secret of the Mogwai panel that will give us an inside look at what is to come for the new HBO animated prequel series. Also, Sesame Street Mecha Builders. Witness your favorite classic muppets turned into supersized CGI robo superheros-in-training.
Continuing with animation, there are also some very popular Adult Swim highlights. Starting with a Smiling Friends discussion and Q&A panel. Also, look at the second season of Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal. Of course, Rick and Morty will be making an appearance. They will be showcasing their Rick and Morty: The Vindicators Adult Swim digital series. Last but not least we have a Tuca & Bertie season three discussion and Q&A.
IN RING ACTION
New to the line-up for Warner Bros. will be some wrestling content! AEW: Heroes & Villains is the title of the panel that will see some of AEW’s biggest stars talk about the ever-so-popular wrestling promotion. Featuring CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy and Bryan Danielson, and will be moderated by AEW commentator Excalibur.
DC CLASSICS
Two other DC offerings that fans will be excited about include the very popular HBO Max animated series, Harley Quinn. Which will have an advanced screening of two episodes of the upcoming season three. As well as the world premiere and panel for the DC animated film, Green Lantern: Beware My Power.
Overall it looks like there will be something from everyone from Warner Bros. Discovery. It will be interesting to see what activations and booths they will be also bringing to the show. LRM Online will be on the show floor for all four days so stay tuned for updates!
