Thor: Love and Thunder features some Asgardian flying goats. However Chris Pratt says Waititi stuck James Gunn with the goats to mess with him. Director Taika Waiti has a very acute sense of humor, and so does Guardians director James Gunn. In a recent interview at the red carpet of Thor: Love and Thunder star Chris Pratt was asked about those flying goats, which presumably are left with the Guardians of the Galaxy in the movie.?We got the transcript from Screen Rant. Here is what Pratt had to say.
“[Waititi] just wanted to stick James with some goats. James has to pick up where Taika left off, and he stuck us with some space goats. Typically [MCU directors don’t stick each other with stuff in the background], but I guess Taika kind of plays by his own set of rules…you’ll see there’s a few things that he did that I think was kind of an inside joke to play on James. It’s a bit of that sort of improv world where you see what you can roll with.”

Waititi and Gunn are two of my favorite filmmakers out there right now. So I look forward to seeing how Gunn handled the challenge of flying goats in the Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special, due to hit Disney+ this Winter with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 coming after on May 3rd of 2023.
Sadly we may not get to see Gunn bat the ball back to Waititi. Guardians 3 is the end for this team of Guardians. It’s also likely the last Marvel movie from Gunn, for a while at least. Whereas, although Waititi next has a go at Star Wars, he is expected to return for another Thor movie alongside Hemsworth. See related section above.
