According to Barside Buzz Marvel needs to decide whether Strange Academy and Nova are series or movies, plus Bella Ramsay wanted for Kitty Pryde. Let’s start at the start, a rumor from Daniel RPK on his Patreon. Strange Academy and Nova were both Disney+ shows in their inception. However Daniel says Marvel is now deciding whether either should be potentially movies?
Last we heard both were on hold for now, but definitely not dead. Obviously we don’t have scripts, but we have some reliable rumors about each show’s plot, or what the plot pitch was at least. Nova‘s description to me always sounded too ambitious and expensive for a Disney+ series in this era. A cosmic story set around Annihilus making his debut as a major villain in the MCU. We have since heard that Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave story could be the next ‘Big Bad’ post-Secret Wars. I think you know where I’m going here, sounds like a movie to me folks.
Whereas, trainee sorcerers under the tutelage of Wong (Strange Academy) definitely sounds like a TV series to me. But hey, Marvel don’t ask my opinion, so we’ll see what happens to both in time. Will Strange Academy and Nova be series or movies? What would you choose based on the rumored outlines I gave above?

Secondly today a rumor from MTTSH that Marvel are interested in The Last of Us Star Bella Ramsay to play Kitty Pryde in the X-Men reboot. Now, we know casting hasn’t properly kicked off yet for this film. It is awaiting supposedly Jake Schreier officially helming the film. However, it does seem like Marvel are lining up potential targets to move on once Schreier is in the hotseat.
TLOU not really my kinda thing, as I dislike most Zombie stories. So all I’ve really seen Ramsay in was Game of Thrones, where she did well for a minor part. I’m also not that familiar with Kitty Pryde as a character. I read X-Men comics, but back in the day (early to mid 80’s?) I don’t recall her being a team member. I’m certainly aware of her, but probably not best placed to speak on how good casting this may or may not be. Do you think Bella Ramsay is a good fit for Kitty Pryde?
Still, as said above, I don’t think we are quite at the solid casting talks stage yet with any actor for the X-Men reboot. We have to be close though, and who knows how quickly the process could shift gears? I guess watch for trade reports for now.
