James Gunn Announces Superman Follow Up Film – Man Of Tomorrow

Yesterday, a bit late for me, DCU boss James Gunn announced his Superman follow up film, Man of Tomorrow.

Yesterday, a bit late for me, DCU boss James Gunn announced his Superman follow up film, Man of Tomorrow. Gunn has previously spoken about developing the next film in the ‘Super Family’. He’s also indicated that though Superman is heavily involved that it might be more of an ensemble film.

Whether that is the case remains to be seem, check it out, but the title and the art Gunn chose indicate a Superman sequel to me. Though, it does appear, like maybe it involves a Lex and Superman forced team up? Who knows, check it out.

Additionally,  Isabela Merced has seemingly announced her involvement by sharing Gunn’s post with the words “See you soon.” That post by Merced was then followed up by Lanterns star Aaron Pierre, who said, “Yes, indeed!”.

Sounds like Merced is in, and one can perhaps presume Pierre’s Jon Stewart shows up as well?

Previously Gunn had said,

“I’m totally done with the treatment. My treatments are incredibly intense. They’re not regular treatments, They’re 60-page treatments with dialogue and everything. And so, now I’m just turning that into a script. We’re planning out when we’re going to shoot that. It’s going to be much sooner rather than later.”

We have some rumors, but at this stage, with no script, how would this information get out there? Here’s what NPN claims to have heard from sources anyway.

“Although the film will continue their rivalry and feature Lex as an antagonist, rumors suggest they will also join forces.”

They claim both are leads of the film. They also claim to have heard some other names including Supergirl (Milly Alcock), Lobo (Jason Momoa) and Peacemaker (John Cena). Then we add in Hawkgirl (Merced) and Green Lantern (Pierre) we could be looking at more of an ensemble film.

|so, this is everything we know about James Gunn’s superman follow up Man of Tomorrow. What do you think of this announcement?
