According to some new Barside Buzz, Matthew Lillard could be playing a DC comic book character called King Faraday in Man of Tomorrow. Lillard is a known cast member of James Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow, but so far word has been quiet on who the actor is portraying in the film.
Of course there’s no guarantee every piece of casting for a DCU film is for a known DC Comics character, but fans like to speculate. Theories have ranged from Barry Allen to various villains, but it is just speculation. However, we have our first insider claim of who Lillard is playing and frankly I’ve never hard of the character.

Now there are insiders out there with better records, but I have a feeling this one is genuine in terms of that a source has told them this information. How good their source is will depend, but watch this space.
As for who is King Faraday? I’ve got little idea, but some small research tells me he was rather pivotal in a story that is rumored to be an inspiration for Gunn’s first Justice League film in this universe. So this could line up, but I won’t pretend to know what I don’t.
Maybe Jace our resident comic book afficionado would have more to say. As for me, I’ll just wait for the film and judge it from there. It’s not that long now till we’ll be watching Man of Tomorrow ourselves next Summer.
Leave any thoughts below on this rumor, or Man of Tomorrow in general.
