Scott Rosenberg Tapped to Finish Rewrite Duties for Michael Bay’s ‘Pain & Gain’

Paramount Pictures hired writer Scott Rosenberg for the finishing touches on dark comedy crime thriller “Pain & Gain.”

The film will be Michael Bay’s small budget project at $35 million, compared to the usual $200 million budget “Transformers” film.

“Pain &Gain” is based off a true story of a small group of bodybuilders in Miami who perform various criminal activities of kidnapping, torture and eventually murder.

The cast already includes Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Ed Harris, Tony Shaloub, Anthony Mackie and Bar Paly.

Rosenberg has an impressive writing career that included films such as “Con Air,” “High Fidelity,” Gone in Sixty Seconds,” and “Beautiful Girls.”

The film production will begin in Miami later this month.
