Taylor Kitsch Says No to ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’

Maybe it’s not his cup of tea?

Earlier this week, news had reported that Taylor Kitsch is possibly considered to play Finnick Odair in the upcoming sequel “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

The actor responded via e-mail to Los Angeles Times in a carefully worded statement.

“Not going to happen,” he wrote.

And that’s all he wrote.

After big budget movies like “John Carter” and “Battleship,” the actor may be looking to reboot his movie career with something else.

Now the possible names are narrowed down to “The Lone Ranger” actor Armie Hammer and “TRON: Legacy” actor Garrett Hedlund.

Kitsch will appear later this summer in Oliver Stone’s crime drama “Savages.”

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will begin production soon.
