“True Blood” star Stephen Moyer has signed on for the lead role of the “Devil’s Knot.”

He will join the cast that already included Colin Firth, Reese Witherspoon and Alessandro Nivola.

The pic is based off Mara Leveritt’s 2003 book called “Devil’s Knot: The True Story of the West Memphis Three.” The courtroom drama is about three teens founded guilty despite no physical evidence over a triple homicide in 1993.

The Atom Eyogen-directed film will begin immediately in order to fit around Moyer’s schedule for HBO’s “True Blood” series.

Moyer will appear in the films “The Barrens” and “Evidence” later this year.
