CinemaCon 2013: ‘Interstellar’ and ‘Transformers 4’ to Be Shot with IMAX Cameras

IMAXNo doubt that IMAX is here to stay.

During Monday’s opening night at CinemaCon 2013 in Las Vegas, IMAX Entertainment Vice Chairman Rob Moore told the audience that Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” and Michael Bay’s “Transformers 4” will use IMAX cameras.

He noted both Bay and Nolan used IMAX cameras in the past with their previous projects.

“IMAX is among the greatest ways to experience a movie,” Moore addressed the audience.

IMAX and Paramount Pictures also announced that three more films will be shot for the IMAX format. The other three titles at this time have not been announced.

“Transformers 4” will be released on June 27th next year and “Intersteller” will be in theaters on November 7th next year.
