The Wyld Stallyns, are set to return in Bill and Ted Face the Music. Yes, Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted “Theodore” Logan are heading back to the big screen for a third adventure in the franchise. A long talked about, and now highly-anticipated entry into the franchise has been realized.
It’s been quite a while since we last saw the dim-witted duo. To help with this large gap in the timeline, a prequel comic is set to be released. The comic is titled Bill & Ted Are Doomed. Check out what comic writer Evan Dorkin had to say while speaking with GamesRadar below.
“My first full-time job in comics was adapting Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey in 1991. Now, in 2020, I’m writing a sequel – that’s also a prequel – with the input and blessing of Ed Solomon, and the artwork of Roger Langridge, one of my all-time favorite cartoonists. It’s been a total blast to work on, and I truly hope the fans have a most excellent time reading it.”

The comic will do much to fill fans in on what Bill and Ted have been up to. What we do know for sure is they are yet to write the song that will unite the world. And that goal is still yet to be completed at the time of the third film. Bill and Ted Face the Music should be a good bit of nostalgia for me and many others. Considering its long journey to the big screen, it will hopefully be a satisfying entry to cap off the trilogy.
Below you can find a synopsis of the comic.
“After defeating the evil dictator De Nomolos in Bogus Journey in 1995, things aren’t looking as excellent as they should for either Bill and Ted or Wyld Stallyns. There’s tension in the band and worry at home. Bill and Ted’s obsessiveness with writing the one song to bring peace to the world is affecting their playing and their relationships with their families. The band is losing favor with fans and the future isn’t shaping up as they were all led to believe it would from past (and future) events. Desperate for a solution Bill and Ted burst in to announce their great idea to revive the band’s fortunes: A world tour to spread the love-and the rock, and the love of the rock-to the world.”
Bill & Ted Are Doomed will be available on September 9th and Bill and Ted Face the Music hits theaters August 14.
