A New Joker Image Shows The Character Partaking In A Pastime We All Love

The future of DC comics film adaptations is looking pretty good, much better than it did a couple years ago. Having bonafide successes such as Wonder Woman and  Aquaman, the studio may have found what they were missing. They hope to continue this uptrend with Shazam! which will be released in a couple of weeks.

While Shazam! has been all in and looks like it will be the most fun DC film thus far, perhaps the most interesting project is Todd Phillips’ Joker, which stars Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime. Today we get a new image from that comes straight from the  Instagram account of the film’s director, Todd Phillips. The image shows the Joker, simply watching TV. The Joker looks either completely invested in whatever he is watching, or totally disconnected from it, I can’t really tell. You can check out the post below

Nothing against Jared Leto, but I was never a fan of his version of the Joker, his performance wasn’t terrible, but I still can’t believe the character’s appearance was given the ok, I was never onboard with it. He looked like he sold meth outside of an Insane Clown Posse concert, or something along those lines. So I am more than happy to get a new version of the Joker, and very exited that it’s Joaquin Phoenix in the role, who most of you know can lose himself in characters, and I think this is just what the Joker needs.
