According to the latest Barside Buzz, the recently announced, but not released Ahsoka footage was delayed due to all the Twitter issues last week. To break all this down, it was announced that we were getting a special look of some kind at Ahsoka. Details of that are in the related section below.
As for the Twitter fiasco? Honestly, I feel I don’t need to tell you that Musk has been making crazy decisions and messing up Twitter. We’ve all probably got an opinion on Twitter, I’ll guess you likely don’t care about mine. Yet, it remains huge and the fact no one was seeing posts or able to react is rumored to be the reason the Ahsoka footage didn’t drop as planned.
At least that’s what two outlets are both saying, that of Bespin Bulletin and Making Star Wars have said sources claim this was the reason for the delay. Here is what Bespin had to say, which to be fair isn’t much.
“Both myself and credited Star Wars insider, MakingStarWars, have both heard individually from separate sources that the release of the ‘special look’ footage was delayed due to the limits placed on Twitter over the weekend and likely caused Disney and Lucasfilm to alter their release plans. Neither I or MakingStarWars have heard as to when the ‘special look’ will now release.”

Of course whether this is a legit reason for the delay, we may never know. Disney are hardly going to officially declare why they delayed something small like this. However, we are also left wondering when this special look is coming, if at all? I do expect marketing for Ahsoka to ramp up in the next few weeks given it’s hitting in just over a month’s time. I guess I’m just eager to see a bit more of a series which so far has captured my intrigue.
We also have zero idea what form this special look was going to take. Was it a new trailer cut, or a short scene from the opening episode? Guess we will just have to wait and see?
