For up-and-coming actress Bella Ortiz, American Carnage checked all the boxes for this young actress in one of the major projects of her career. It’s a horror comedy with an amazing cast and even the opportunity to play a pivotal role.
The film also stars Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Bumblebee, Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jenna Ortega (X, Scream), Allen Maldonado (The Wonder Years, Black-ish), and Eric Dane (Euphoria, Grey’s Anatomy). Diego Hallivis (Curvature, Game Time) directed the movie that he co-wrote with his brother Julio Hallivis (The Devil Below, Trespassers).
Here is the official synopsis of American Carnage:
After a governor issues an executive order to arrest the children of undocumented immigrants, the newly detained youth are offered an opportunity to have their charges dropped by volunteering to provide care to the elderly. Once inside the eldercare facility, the volunteers discover the governor and the facility’s supervisor have cooked up a horrifyingly depraved conspiracy that endangers the young and the old in this twisted thriller-comedy.
