An Official Synopsis for DC’s Aquaman

The trailer for DC’s next big screen adventure, Aquaman, is set to debut later this week at San Diego Comic-Con. Before that happens, an official synopsis for the film has been released, you can check it out below.

“From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime — one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be … a king”

So it’s Arthur Curry’s journey to be king? Sweet! I’m in.

The subject of ridicule for many years, Aquaman was given a new look and attitude by Zack Snyder, and it has done much to change the, “All I can do is talk to fish.” label. As most fans know, the DC extended Universe has been inconsistent with it’s quality. Wonder Woman still stands as DC’s only film generally accepted by both critics and fans. That’s not to say previous entries into the universe weren’t enjoyable and entertaining, but we all know they had their issues. Fans hope that Aquaman can help turn things around for studio.

Aquaman makes a splash December 21.
