Check out the first Andor trailer below, plus a new premiere date and poster. I think you’ll agree it at least looks pretty. Although we have seen footage of Andor previously, this is by far the best and longest look we’ve had yet. Check it out.
Andor also gets a new release date as you’ll see by the official details below. However we are getting a three episode premiere rather than the previous dates double episode premiere.
The series, which takes place prior to the events of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” debuts exclusively on Disney+ on its new date, Wednesday, September 21, with a three-episode premiere.
The “Andor” series explores a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Andor was supposed to hit Disney+ with a double episode on August 31st. Sadly we still have more than 8 weeks to wait for the new premiere. However, so far everything I have seen of Andor looks impressive. Andor feels visually and tonally more in tune with Rogue One and I have nothing but praise for that.
I’m genuinely really excited for Andor in a way I simply didn’t get when the series was first announced. As you’d expect we will be reviewing all episodes of Andor on The Cantina beginning week of the premiere.
