Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania Filming Has Begun Says Director Peyton Reed

In the Loki season finale He Who Remains told Sylvie “see you soon”. Well, he’s already back, kinda, as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania filming has begun according to director Peyton Reed. The third Ant-Man movie is already confirmed to be where we next see Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror. Unless of course, there is another earlier secret cameo we are not aware of yet?

Check out Reed’s posted, then deleted, then reposted tweet, captured for all eternity below by Ant-Man News.

Majors will of course join returning cast members including Rudd, Lily, Pfeiffer and Douglas as the Pym’s and Scott Lang respectively. However the third Ant-Man movie will also see a swap of actress for the role of Scott’s daughter Cassie. If you remember, Cassie grew up a lot in the five years Scott was stuck in the Quantum Realm. Though lucky for the MCU he was as it was Scott’s return which allowed the Avengers to fight back against Thanos and bring back Hope, Hank and Janet from wherever they were.

All hail Ratters the unsung hero of the MCU thus far! Cassie has been recast with actress Kathryn Newton replacing Emma Fuhrmann. Clearly indicating the Cassie will have a larger role going forward in the MCU.

So why will it be the Pym’s who run into Kang next? The answer is pretty simple, I’ll guess, Pym Particles. Currently within the MCU there are two known methods of time travel. One is the powers of Kang, which he seems to be able to use to make all the time altering tech of the TVA. The second is Pym Particles as used by the Avengers in Endgame.

If Kang is out there eliminating threats to himself, perhaps the Pym Particles are something he needs purged? This is just a guess, but it seems obviously to me why Kang would see Hank Pym and his work as a major threat. What I would love to see though, is Scoot and the gang using the Pym Particles to go forwards in time for once. Maybe run into some Kang resistance in the future etc.

I guess we will just have to wait and see won’t we? Sound off below about anything Ant-Man related as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania filming begins.
