She-Hulk Casts Josh Segarra In Undisclosed Role

She-Hulk Is A Mess Rumor Resurfaces From A New Source

On Wednesday Deadline reported that She-Hulk casts Josh Segarra in an unknown role. Segarra is no stranger to comic book properties having appeared many times in Arrowverse at The CW. He joins a cast that includes Renée Elise Goldsberry, Ginger Gonzaga and Mark Ruffalo, who will be reprising his role as Bruce Banner aka the Hulk.

According to Deadline,

She-Hulk is a legal comedy that centers on the eponymous heroine (Maslany), aka Jennifer Walters, an attorney who has similar powers to her cousin, Banner/The Hulk. The She-Hulk series is directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, with Jessica Gao serving as head writer.

That’s not the first time I have heard the term legal comedy used. Thus my anticipation for She-Hulk remains very low. I’m not that into all out comedies, I didn’t even like Deadpool, and historically I’ve never been a fan of She-Hulk anyway.

The fact Hulk is present with Mark Ruffalo cast, is the one saving grace so far. However in my head, I’m looking for something more serious, centered around Hulk and the origin of She-Hulk. I honestly can’t see that happening. I just hope She-Hulk is far better than I had guessed it would be when it finally hits.

There’s not much we can speculate on with Segarra’s role without knowing more details. There are also rumors that Charlie Cox will show up as Matt Murdock in She-Hulk. I’m already convinced Cox is in Spider-Man: No Way Home as per insiders I trust. It would be cool to see him pop up again in She-Hulk, but eventually I think fans will want to see him actually be Daredevil again also.

What do you think of this news as She-Hulk casts Josh Segarra? Any speculation on a character he may be playing? Anyone else as worried as I am about it being a legal comedy? All thoughts below, as always.
